The Kadets of America

The story of Kadets of America isn’t just about another youth program.

It’s about continuing a century-old legacy that began with William G. Dunn,

a visionary Iowa inventor who transformed a small hardware store into

a wartime manufacturer and community cornerstone.

From producing lifesaving training equipment for the U.S. military to inspiring generations of youth through the Kadets of America drill teams, Dunn’s legacy is about ingenuity and resilience.

Why This Matters Now

In short: We’re not just telling a story of the past. We’re inviting you to be part of the next chapter. In 2013, we revived the Kadets for a limited run and saw firsthand how these timeless values still ignite a spark in today’s youth. Now, with Cosmic City’s support, we’re taking this nationwide,

starting on Long Island and expanding to new locations by 2030.

A Living Legacy of Giving Back

The Kadets of America will be our ambassadors of goodwill, partnering with The Suffolk County PBA, Local Veteran groups, and  the Harry Chapin Foundation. This is about building a future that honors the past while empowering the next generation.
